Here is a new video I put together tonight. The Simple Switch Variation uses the Instant Replay move and a Top Shot variation which I learned at Sleightgeek (which is sadly gone Crying or Very sad ) in the Magic Club from Alan Rorrison. I would have put it in slow motion, but it didn't look great slow-mo so there you go.

As for the cut its just a variation I came up with. Tell me if you like this stuff. Thanks. ~Ryan

I think he's suffering more from "pixellated" issues. Ryan, you might want to try making all your frames half the size they are now (half the pixels). That should take care of a lot of the pixellation/block-y problems.

Another idea that might help is to not have your patented "green title logo." Although it works awesome as a normal title before tricks and the such, in a three second .gif file, it's half of the animation. Imagine watching a five minute short film with five minutes of intro text Smile

Just some thoughts. The card trick looks awesome though, as usual. Keep kickin' ass.

Hi Ryan,

You are actually doing the Simple Switch. Alan got the credit wrong on Sleightgeek, and the move is nothing like Topshot at all Smile

There is a video of Topshot on www.virtualmagicshow.com (of course!) - the first video clip on the stuff page and also in the trailer for Bastard Hard Moves where I teach the move (with Lennart's permission) which is at www.virtualmagicshow.com/bhm

The cut is nice Wink Although in my advanced years I'm going back to Erdnase and the idea that there should not be the 'suspicion of a move'.

Anyway, good work, and take care,

Ian

Nice video, Ryan. The top shot was great. The cut was also good and nicely performed.

Btw I you like the original cut check Bone's Walk around false cut. Another nice variation./

I apologize in advance Ryan but I don't like the avatar either.

I do have a suggestion though. Remove the All-in! text and keep it as a static image of your hands on the edges of the chips to move them into the table.

Also you can make it more realistic by putting some cards down like you have a hand.

I think it's because of that black screen at the end. It blinks too much.

Oh well. This thread was kind of meant to be about the video, not the avatar. I just sort of added it as a side note.

Hey homespice, we'd all appreciate it if you didn't pull shit like that. Ryan's young and clearly both talented and dedicated. It's natural that people not as involved in card magic as you would see him as more impressive than someone who has been doing this for 30 years. Chill with that garbage.

On a not-so-side note, Ryan, impressive as always. That cut's a beautiful invention Very Happy .

Love the video, hate animated avatars, 2 things to consider shorter credits and maybe showing the trick then showing it in slow motion?

Keep up the good work man you are very talented and I'm jealous!
