New Poker Game      Chip Tricks, Card Tricks, Pool Trick Shots, Penspinning Forum Index » Poker and Gaming View previous topic View next topic New Poker Game Author Message NSNick 2 Pairs Joined: 05 Sep 2004 Posts: 10 Location: The Ohio State University New Poker Game My friend and I play poker together a lot, most often for fun (because we have a hard time getting people together for a game), and we'll play dealer's choice often, switching between Chicago, Baseball, Vegas Touch-em, etc. Well tonight we made our own game, and it seems to be pretty balanced and new, so I thought I'd post it here, see what you guys think. And yes, it does have wild cards, but I think it's all pretty interesting. [u]Rules for playing Stonehenge[/u] Procedure: All players are dealt four cards, face down. There is a round of betting. One community card is flipped face up. Another round of betting. Best hand wins. Community Card and Wilds: The suit of the community card is wild. However, the community card itself is [b]not[/b] wild. Also, if any player has three or more cards of the wild suit in his/her hand, none of those player's cards are wild. Hand Rankings: Since flushes must come naturally in five cards, the hand rankings have been changed to this: Royal Flush Straight Flush Flush Five of a Kind Four of a Kind Full House Straight Three of a Kind Two Pair Pair High Card So, what do you guys think? Vegas Touch 'em is where everyone gets four (could be five as well) cards, and you have to use any two cards from your hand, and any three that are touching from the board, which is set up like this, where Xs are cards: X X X X _X X X X X X X There's a round of betting when you get your cards, then the four corner cards are flipped, bets, top two and bottom two flipped, bets, then middle three are flipped. _________________ Signatures are for wusses.
